I've had 3 doses of Stelara. 4 days After the 2nd dose I had some loose BM/diarrhea and some cramping that lasted about 4-5 days. At the time I attributed it to coming down on the Prednisone. i recenlty had my 3rd injection of the stelara and my first withouth Prednisone. I experienced a sore throat and ear congestion which subsided after 2 days. Then again exactly 4 days after injection I had loose BMs and cramping. Its been 5 days since that and now I'm starting to feel better. Any one experience this? Is it Stelara or the UC flaring? Really unsure what to think. Dr said i could go back on a low dose of prednsone but I really do not want to as i had been on it since February this year. If any one has any input or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

It took 6 months for Stelara to kick in. After suffering with Crohn's since 2012 this is the best I felt on any medication and I've been on a lot. My 4th injection beat e up a bit but after a few days I felt terrifc.
Wishing you the best of luck!

Stelara changed my existence. I was sick of feeling sick. Stelara changed that. I had been ill for a month however it began out as a small health issue. I've had issues with skin previously, but when some rash appeared on my shoulder and elbow, I knew something was wrong. Need you can check https://www.hrcloud.com/blog/10-things-you-should-check-in-a-candidates-resume for more interesting tips about the study. My physician initially thought that it had been called hives but the symptoms didn't settle to this diagnosis plus they have been appearing more frequently.

Hi, I've been on Stelara for over a year now and I haven't experienced a pattern like that, but I don't know if I would notice it as I have had my colon removed. I am wondering if maybe it is more related to your symptoms increasing right before your dose as that is when your medication level is the lowest. That has happened to me before where like the week before my injection my symptoms increase noticably. And then maybe you just have symptoms for five days after the shot until the stelara kicks back in. You could talk with your doctor about maybe increasing the frequency of your stelara doses and see if that helps. Good luck!
