Weight and Eating

Thu, October 01, 2020 11:07 AM

Hello so I've been struggling to get my weight up and trouble eating. My problem with food is I just sometimes don't feel hungry even though I should and need to eat I just can't sometimes, sometimes I get nauseous and because of this I haven't been able to gain weight and it's starting to get uncomfortable being the weight I currently am (98lbs at 21 years old) my goal weight/happy weight is around 120 lbs and I'm trying to get there but it's hard when you are a picky eater and sometimes just don't wanna eat. I'm currently on sulfazalizine and it does good for me, I'm taking tons of supplements and vitamins everyday, my poop is great no diarrhea and I'm not waking up in the night millions of times so I'm doing good overall just I can't seem to gain any weight and I'm at a loss so if anyone is out there dealing with this please let me know what you did and/or what you are doing, it would be greatly appreciated. :)

Try to eat small, frequent meals throughout the day, focusing on calorie-dense foods like nuts, avocados, and protein-rich foods, also try to find a diet here https://betterme.world/articles/fasting-for-3-days/ that will help balance your diet and nutrition. Additionally, speak to your doctor about your concerns to explore potential solutions and ensure there aren't any underlying health issues contributing to your difficulty in gaining weight.

Honey corn Bread and frozen vanilla yogurt at bedtime works for Me! High calorie protein bars and lots of creamy peanut butter. Chocolate Almond Milk and loaded baked potatoes to name a few. I've been @ 114 pounds for years! I'm short too. Go out for Mexican if you can afford it and lots of pasta dishes. So glad your poop is normal. I've sruggled between constipation and diarrhea for years.

Health benefits of a low-carb diet
Low-carbohydrate diets have been shown to cause weight loss and improve some risk factors for heart disease. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one in four deaths are caused by heart disease.

Many factors contribute to heart disease, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, smoking, and diabetes. A low-carbohydrate diet can help improve some of these risk factors.

A low-carbohydrate diet limits carbohydrates such as sugars and starches found in grains, fruits, and vegetables. These diets are often high in protein and fat. Low-carbohydrate diets have been shown to improve blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and blood sugar control in people with diabetes.

Has anyone had luck with the low foodMap diet? My GI dr. is sending it in the mail. But may have to go to Iowa City for further testing. Anyway. What specifis foods on this diet work for you?I've also lost weight but not much. Protien bars and peanut butter keep me going!

I've been struggling with this lately. What I do is whatever it is that I feel like eating— whatever the one singular things is that I feel like I can stomach— I eat that (even if it means ordering Uber Eats, buying more groceries, etc. health is worth the extra dollars for me). Sometimes i'll just sit down and run through foods I know I like in my head until I find one that sounds tolerable to me.

You should look at my first couple of posts in diet and nutrition. It would be nice for you to get off medication. Its simply about balancing your gut bacteria. I struggled with different medications and diets for about ten years and finally found a diet where I feel super healthy and energized and I havent been on any meds for 9 months now.
