Possible IBD - awaiting testing

Mon, July 13, 2020 2:26 PM

Hi

I'm really new to this so please excuse me if I don't get things quite right in regards to using this forum or terminology.

I guess I'm looking for some understanding and some advice. Since I have been young I have always felt I had a"bad belly" where I am rushing off to the bathroom a lot and any little thing could seem to trigger that. A few years ago I had a period of about two months that was really unpleasant. I had different testing but this was only carried out once the "episode" (?!) had passed. I have had a number of less worrying episodes but still the same symptoms. Then I got pregnant and the testing all stopped. Recently, over the past month I have had those really unpleasant symptoms come back again. Erm... this is probably TMI but I have had loads of mucus, blood and running to the bathroom. I am so bloated that I can't have anything around my tummy. I have been tired beyond tired and wake in the morning as tired as the night before. I have experienced weakness and joint pain too. I have had lots of ulcers in my mouth, hair loss and itchy eyes (I'm not sure if any of this is relevant). In the past I have been b12 deficient  but this seemed to change when I was pregnant with my first born and I haven't had any tests recently. All blood test I have show a raised level of bilirubin. Sorry, I'm rambling...
I called the doctors and explained and he suggested it could be ibd. I have got blood tests coming up in two weeks but this seems a long time to wait. do these symptoms sound like the doctor May be guessing correctly?

any help or info or kind words would be lovely.

xx
