New dx, when to call doctor

Hi all, I was recently diagnosed (from a colonoscopy/biopsies on New Years Eve) and started on Entocort EC three days ago after finally getting biopsy results. Aside from feeling overwhelmed with this whole thing, Im not sure when to call my doctor. I dont go in to discuss the colonoscopy/diagnosis or other treatment options until the 25th of January. My symptoms were mainly blood and mucus in the stool, abdominal pain, and urgency. No diarrhea, just soft stools. After the colonoscopy, the bleeding increased for about a day, then significantly slowed. Today Im experiencing constipation, abdominal pain, and significantly increased bleeding. Since Im already being treated, when do I call the doctor? Do I need to call the doctor at all? How long does it take the medicine to work? And how do I deal with this feeling of isolation that Im experiencing since I dont want to share my symptoms (or even the diagnosis) with family or friends? Any other helpful advice? Thank you for your help and support.
