I've not been diagnosed with anything as of yet. I'm 27 years old and gave birth to my first child 8 months ago. I started seeing symptoms when my baby as 2 months old. I'm set u for a colonoscopy and endoscopy in months and my symptoms seem to be worsening which of course is freaking me out.
Congratulations on the birth of your child. My UC also flared up shortly after my third child was born. A new baby is wonderful but UC can really slow you down. Get your colonoscopy and diagnosis as soon as possible so you can start treatment.

I've been dealing with UC for 10 years, and I think if I were you, I'd demand to have your appointment as soon as possible. What you're describing sounds like what I often go through during a moderate flare, but without treatment, it can go from moderate to severe quickly. If you start feeling fatigue and losing weight as a result of your symptoms, consider going to the ER. The sooner you get treatment, the sooner you can start healing, and minimize scarring of the colon.

I just had this discussion with my GI doctor yesterday. I lost - what i thought was A LOT of blood. Like the toliet was full- and maybe a little TMI but I saw it pour out of my bottom. My labs came back normal. I didn't however just have a baby- I was just Dx with UC. So you must need to loose a whole heck of a lot of blood.

Hi I think a toilet full of blood always looks worse than it is but I do sympathise with you as it is very worrying . Hope all turns out well for you when you have your camera its a bit degrading but my wife says its not a patch on child birth so I will go along with her on that! I my self suffer from colitis and blood loss comes and goes and it can be small spots or what seems like a cup full. Urgency to go to the toilet also pass mucus sorry for all the detail but that's colitis symptoms. Hope you get sorted and your all well and good .ryan
