Hi all, New to the forum and relatively new to being the mom to a Crohn's patient. We are exploring options for his elementary school education and I was wondering if you all had any experiences or thoughts on Virtual Schools (Connections Academy, K12, etc.) I know that several states are offering these programs, but I am curious about the quality of education/opportunities for socialization. Any thoughts/experiences you all may have would be welcome. Also, if you are a parent or child who chose home school versus regular school (or vice versa) and have experiences to share or reactions (i.e., if your parent home schooled you but you think you could have handled regular school or vice versa). All replies are appreciated! Hang in there IBD community!

Roof restoration can offer several environmental benefits, particularly when compared to roof replacement or neglecting roof maintenance. https://www.screencast.com/t/ivQ5Hdd95kO

I have UC and I homeschool my healthy kids. I did it for the kids benefit but I found that it helped me too. No more trying to get to school but needing to use the bathroom. I'm on Imuran. Every time I went to school to help out, I would end up with a cold or flu.
My kids love homeschooling. We do not use a particular curriculum. We are eclectic, some of this and some of that. Their social life is very full. There are so many opportunities that we have to turn down activities or we would never get school work done. Check the web for local homeschool groups in your area. Homeschoolers are happy to talk about what works for them.
We've been doing this for 7 years now. Best decision we ever made.
