I have had UC since I turned 18. I'm 30 now. In the meanwhile, I have found and developed more systemic dissorderders ranging from Factor 5 Linden, Lupus, extreme GERD, at times, crippling anxiety attacks, high blood pressure and so on. I've just had my third spinal surgery in a year. The last was a month ago. A full disc replacement at c5 s1 because the last two surgeries left me with a partially collapsed spine. As we all know, stress is a huge factor when it comes to UC flares, and for me, steroids, NSAIDS and Sulfa. Spurring the last surgery, they gave me a cessation cut just above the pelvis where they proceeded to cut through muscle, veins and tissue to reach my spinal cord. They removed the unviable disc and replaced it with titanium. The recovery was extremely difficult because I was given muscle relaxers in the hospital post op, which threw me into on of the most difficult UC flares I could remember. My recovery has been very difficult with my GERD, UC, and Lupus acting up all at the same time. I was wondering if anybody may be able to relate, or maybe have any advise stepping through and forward from this. Thank you, Whitwhickie
