UC & Social Security Disability

Anyone out there have any experience with this? Have you applied and won?   I applied  year ago and was denied, got myself a lawyer who told me if he didn't think we could win, he wouldn't take my case; he took my case.  Over the past year my joint pain has greatly increased, had to go on steroids again and suffered the very unpleasant side effects, and have gone on antidepressant medication.  Lawyer told me it will probably take about 2 years. Anyone else dealing with this??Any info greatly appreciated! TIA.

Hello,

I have been on social security disability for Crohn's disease since January of 2007.  I went through an attorney in Boston, MA who specialized in disability cases.  I never even had to meet the attorney, and it took about three months to hear the results.

Maybe you could try another attorney?  My attorney received 25% of my "past due" disability income as a fee, so I never had to pay him directly.  Instead, when I got a check from social security, so did he.

Hope this will help, and the best of luck to you
