Remission - How Long Did Yours Last?

Prednisone put me into remission, but it only lasted 3 months. It was the first time I had been in remission since diagnosis last February. I was just curious to hear from anyone else who is or was in remission and how long it lasted for.

Hi, sorry to hear about your bad year. I've had UC for about 15 years, and the majority of that time was in remission. I've had several 4 yr periods with no symptoms and no drugs.

Unfortunately, I've been sick for 7 of the last 9 months! Two long flare-ups with a short break in between. I hope and pray that I will go back to a long remission. Anyone else have long periods of remission?

Some say that after your first year, you will have less flare-ups. Hope you are feeling better!
