Hello,
Thank you for visiting us. I will be posting more recipes soon. He takes steroids only when he flares. We found that coconut milk and other coconut products to have too much fiber for him to handle. The Lactose Free dairy products work best. Yes he take a couples supplements. Right now we stick with what we know works. We won't even change brands. We have found that when we get off what we are doing the flares start up again/
I am so happy your dd is doing good. It is a diffcult road at times.
Blessings,
Elizabeth

Thank you so much for sharing your blog. I loved it. That is very close to how we eat but my daughter is allergic to fresh fish so she eats chicken instead. Isn't Stoneyfield Greek Yorgurt good!!!! Have you tried any coconut with cooking? My daughter LOVES "All Natural SO Delicious Coconut Milk yorgurt". I noticed your husband is on Asacol and Pred right now. My daughter isn't in a flare up right now. She has UC and is on 4 Lialda and 3 1/2 Azathrioprine. Was your husband only on Asacol until he had to add the Pred because of the flare up? That is great that he went 6 years without a flare up. My daughter just went to her 4th GI doc. This one is an adult IBD specialist (now that she's 18 she doesn't have to go to any pediatric docs). He said lots of UC patients have "bacteria overgrowth" My daughter had been in a flare up for about 4 months and I didn't know what to do because her pediatric IBD specialist had added Canasa suppositories, rounds of Flagyl, Cortifoam suppositories and nothing was working and was mentioning Remicade. I went to Whole Foods and asked them what to do. They recommended Ultimate Flora Critical Care 50 Billion probioic. We told the new specialist about it and that is the one he has recommended for the past 10 years to his UC patients. He also wants her to take a Lactulose Hydrogen Breath Test to see if she indeed does have "bacteria overgrowth" but she'd have to stop the probiotic and she won't do it because she is finally feeling great since starting the probiotic. Does your huband take any supplements? Thanks again for sharing your blog.
