I am lactose intolerant to a point. I was taking muscle milk before I got sick with Crohns and that was working for me. I havent tried it since I have been diagnosed earlier this month. It taste good, and its affordable. Personally I like the cookies and cream. Give it a try and see if it works for you. You can get it at GNC, bodybuilding .com,and I think even Walmart should have this as well. I asked my Nutritionist about it, but she pretty much insisted on me taking ensure or the cheaper equate that walmart has. If I dont gain any weight sometime soon, Im gonna try it again, and see if it gives me problems. I hope this works for you.

My daughter's doc. recommended Boost. It helped supplement her every day caloric intake and also gave her a little "boost".

I use Atkins Shakes in the afternoon as a snack. They help give me energy. I like the dark chocolate. They aren't great tasting, but the really aren't bad, especially when they are very cold.

I can't drink any of the "energy" drinks as they go right through me. When I'm eating well I don't need them anyway. Many have milk which I can't drink (milk protein gets to me, in addition to the lactose). I'm also sensitive to fructose- goes right through, which some of the shakes have.
