I was diagnosed with Crohns in 2008. I haven't been able to get it under control yet. Currently I am on Lialda, Imuran, Nexium, and just started Remicade a week ago. I was on Humira prior to Remicade.
For about the last 6-8 wks I have experienced a constant feeling of nausea. It doesn't seem to matter if I eat, don't eat. The pain does vary by certain things I eat which I have cut out of my diet. My doc gave me medicine for the nausea but it doens't seem to help. Does anyone else just always feel like you are going to vomit at any minute?

Hi. It's the nausea from my crohn's and colitis that knocks me off of my feet. I've not found anything that works for the nausea, unfortunately so I feel your pain. I'm sorry!

I haven't found a super duper cure for the nasea... but I found that Boost helps. I have trouble eating, especially in the morning, due to nasea. I found that drinking Boost helps me to not feel guilty about not eating at times. You get the calories and vitamins without having to eat. Obviously not a great idea for 24/7, but it is helpful at times!!

I am ALWAYS nauseous. I just barely got diagnosed with Crohn's, but for the past 2-3 months, every day I have been nauseous. I don't eat much at all, because I am terrified to eat as most everything hurts my stomach. I've found that the only thing that seems to make it manageable are the prescription anti-nausea suppositories. They are not very fun to give yourself, but they work. Pills never worked for me, as I would just throw them up. So, try that. I've tried ginger also, but I can't handle the taste.
I hope you get feeling better. This disease stinks. I've been suffering for 16 months, and just barely started Pentasa. I'm going back to my doctor next week which I'm sure will result in more meds.
Do you know what kind of Crohn's you have? Do you have any ulcers in your small intestine?

One thing that always works for us is candied ginger. You can find it at either a health food store or Asian specialty store. It has been used in Asian culture for centuries.
I hope you find some much needed relief. Good Luck
