Hi gang!
I am about to make a major change in my life and I need some assistance from y'all. I am seriously thinking of dumping years of accounting down the drain and becoming a holistic nutrionist. I am in my 40s. This is something I have thought about for a long time.
My question to y'all is this - would you consult a holistic nutritionist for help managing IBD or just for good health? Where are you located? You don't have to be exact with location if you are uncomfortable, just give a regional area.
Thanks!

I think my previous message sounded rather negative. I really meant it to read that I would be delighted to find a holistic nutritionist with a real knowledge of how to improve health.

Breezy,
I wish you lots of success if you go ahead with your plans. I'm in the UK and there is very little genuine dietary help here either.
A big problem for me would be knowing whether or not I could trust a dietician or nutritional therapist as so few of them know how food actually changes our health and can heal.

That is my fear, Alan. I am in an area that seems to exist on Chili Cheese A Plenty. Right now I am loving the strawberries. People really want a fast fix. There is no fast fix. Just chemicals to mask the symptoms. I will definitely visit the website. Have you researched Colstrum?

Thank you Karen. Diet is extremely important. I encourage you to get rid of processed foods. Baked sweet potatoes (yams) with cinnamon are a wonderful side dish. The Specific Carb Diet is difficult but it does help tremendously. The chicken soup recipe is one of my comfort foods now. I add olive oil to alot of my foods. Salmon and other fin fish are foods I eat often. People are amazed at what I can eat. It takes time and patience. You have to really learn your body. I still react to foods that are not the best choices. I am working on some recipes to replace some lifetime favorites! Chin up. It does get better. It is a process. Variation is the enemy to process. The enemy must go away. There is alot of wonderful information on this site. Read, read, read....
Oh, fix yourself a wonderful smoothie with coconut milk, bananas, and pineapple juice. It is a good soothing drink.
