Is the heat and humidity affecting you like it is me?

Hi.  I've had a bad day (diarhea and nausea) then a good day yesterday and a middle of the road day today.  I wonder if I'm being affected by the heat.  Today I just don't feel right, took immodium this morning and took tylenol for a headache.  I drink tons of water.  I have crohn's, ulcerative colitis, and ibs - just to give you some background.  What else can I do?  I am currently on no meds because of lousy side effects.

Thanks and any input is greatly appreciated!

I have had that problem in the past. I have UC, It seemed even on a cool day I was burning up. I tried vancomycin, it seemed to take care of the problem. I think from all the inflamation and bleeding we are more subject to infection. I think the key is keeping the inflamation down so you don't get infection. I take colazal and really watch diet. hope this helps.

Me too. I am having awful fatique and another flare. Yesterday, I ran a low grade fever and was groggy most of the day. It is never cool enough in my house for me. I cannot stand it either. Found Barnes and Noble a haven this morning, believe it or not. Mokie

I am also not on meds, but always feel sick in the heat. Even when I stay indoors during the summer I have diarhea, nausea, light headedness, vomiting, headaches, etc.. I never thought it was all related to Crohn's so I am going to an allergist this week. Perhaps I should see my gastro too.

So, you're in remission right now?  No bleeding?  If so, LUCKY!!!

& about the weather, it just makes me want to step on someones face.  It was 100 today and HUMID.  Blazing Balls is what I'd like to call it.  Just stay inside or go to the freezer section of a grocery store and enjoy the cold.
