Team Challenge

Does anybody know how much you have to fundraise for the team challenge marathon on Vegas? I haven't been able to go to the meetings b/c of my work schedule, and I have been playing phone tag with the team manager.  Also, I am looking to get to know any Boston area people that are doing it.

I emailed the contact listed for our area. I was told it was almost $2000 if I paid my own way or more if they paid for my hotel room. That is out of my budget. My husband was going to run for me since I have active crohns. I thought we could just raise money, like with the walks, and have the money go to the foundation. I guess they are not interested in you raising money though if you cannot reach their set goals. We were not even asking for anything in return from them. I just wanted to meet up with the CCFA group out there if we went. Too bad.

Hi.  I know this probably isn't much help but I participated in the Team Challenge 1/2 marathon in Boston in June.  It was an unbelievable experience.  Unfortunately I was injured and unable to even train with the group but when I met them it was like I had always been there.  We had to raise $2100 and I think Vegas is around $4000.  I suffer from crohn's and ulcerative colitis and I am happy to say I almost doubled what I needed to fundraise.  If I still had the number I would give it to you but you could try the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, I believe the headquarters are in Needham.  Good luck!
