I have Crohn"s disease and am facing surgery for an ostomy. I have been homeless for 6 months and can't find any resource to help me get a place to live, not even a homeless shelter (because my SSDI is over the financial limit). Does anyone have any info about housing?

When you are admitted to the hospital for your surgery, they are not allowed to discharge you without an appropriate discharge plan. There are people who work at the hospital who are to coordinate whatever care you may need once you are released, because you'll likely need a home health nurse for ostomy care teaching they will already be involved.
