First of all, if you have been at your job for over 1 year (fulltime) you qualify for FMLA.  Family Medical Leave Act.  You have an uncureable disease and in essence, are disabled.  If they let you go or fire you, you have the right to legal recourse if they are aware that you have this disease.  I would definitely be finding out about FMLA in your area.  All it takes is a trip to the doctor's office with paperwork saying you need X amount of days off per month (I get 4 for the disease and 4 additional for doctor appts), have your doctor fill them out and submit them.  Know that you are protected.

Have you considered flax seed oil capsules for the constipation?  I have Crohn's and the Azathioprin that I was on almost destroyed my liver and pancreas, but with that and the right diet, I am in remission and my GI doctor advised me to take flax seed oil since this all came about because I, too, was constipated for months at a time.

Remember, eat healthy.  Check the net for diets or foods suggested to eat while dealing with Crohns.  For me, it just so happen to be the Interstital Cystitis Diet (icdiet.com) because I have bladder inflammation.  About six weeks into eating only foods on this diet, I was painfree.

My email is aca11@ymail.com if you want to write.
