Support in the ATLANTA,GA area???

Sat, October 24, 2009 2:30 PM

Hello All,

Im looking for a support buddy in the Metro Atlanta Area.Im currently diagnosed with Crohn's in June 09 and its really taking a toll on me mentally, physically and emotionally.Just need someone to talk to who understands what Im going through. My family is there but they dont truely understand. My spouse is not helpful at all.He only seems to frustrate me even more which cause stress and leads to a flare up. My mind is going through circles and sometimes it gets to the point where I just want to give up. I have two small children(ages 4and 5) that I have to tend to besides this disease and Full-time work. Im also a full-time student, so I have a lot on my plate and this illness is not making things better for me. Just need someone to help keep me going!!

Thanks

I was just diagnosed with Crohn's in August and live in the Atlanta area.  I could use someone to talk to as well.  I've been in a flare up now for four months with no improvement and am terrified of being hospitalized again.  I've already been hospitalized twice since July.  Please feel free to contact me at heatherhilston@yahoo.com.  Thanks!

your going to do great..just take it one day at a time..make freinds with the nurses..make sure you understand everything that is happen..if you need a sleeping pill in the hspital you need to ask in advance..everything thing just takes a lil longer when your in there. Think positive..and think how much better you will feel afterwards./. I had to have a perianal abcess drained..they didnt give me enough versed so i felt everything..but I got through it and you will to.. GOOD LUCK DONT BE SCARED
