I was diagnosed with crohn's early in 2010. I have tried Pentasa, Nexium, Endicort, 6mp and Prednisone, possibly Humera next. I continue to vomit and have 6-8 bowels movements a day. In addition the 6mp and Prednisone have practically rendered my immune system useless. I have had the flu/cold for over a month. I have become depressed to the point where I feel like nothing will work.

its hard to not feel alone when i cannot find any support groups in NH, closest one is 1.5 hrs away once per month. WTF? I can Find an AA meeting any day, any time but if i need support for crohn's its once per month? I'm not qualified to run a group but if any is from NH we need help!

I feel your pain. I am not sure I can be of much help, but I wanted to let you know you are not alone. I have many days where I am in such bad pain that I can not stand/ walk/and have a hard time moving. I recently spent Christmas day in bed by myself because I was in so much pain that I could not move. I have often been getting ready for work and then get hit with a pain that cripples me. Often my husband has to help me to bed or the couch because I can't get there on my own because the pain is so bad.I have found that in addition to the pain meds, a heat pack helps to release the pain, but some find ice works too. I have been out of work on medical leave for a month after only being back from my other medical leave for a month.
