What do I do

How do people go to work with Crohns? I am an at home mom when I was diagnosed with Crohns last year. I want to go back to work, but I fear my Crohns will get in the way. Not to mention the depression is taking a toll on me. I am not myself anymore since this happened. Even though I have a wonderful 3 year old son and a great husband, I just feel so alone in this.

Where I live jobs are far and few. But what do I do? Do I tell the interviewer I have Crohns? Do I keep it a secret? My flare-ups are so unpredictable. I take Humira now and that seems to keep flare-ups from creeping up daily. But I still get them often enough to worry. I spoke to my GI doctor about disability but she said to wait. Wait for what? This is never going away.

You kind of said it all this never goes away. I think that is my main problem I get down and have no reason to think it will get better. The only thing you can do is try to be normal but other people do not understand. I have told the people I work with and they have been supportive. If you have a family that helps because you have to be there for them. Work is tough a lot of days but after so long I am kind of dull to the pain and stress. Wish I had a magic answer but there is not one out there.
