had most of my colon removed july 22, didnt know i had ulcerative colitis until three days before my surgery. I am experiencing pain on the left side of incision, like muscle pain, like a knot or something idk, it is very painful,  im very tired all the time as well, anyone know how long this lasts being tired, and what this pain is from?

Hi!! Surgery incisions can pull and hurt for a while. And when I say awhile, I mean just that. If it becomes something that is unbearable or unrelenting, obviously you would need to see your surgeon. Otherwise, use hot compresses to help ease the pain when. It should fade away eventually. However, to even more fervently prove my first point, this summer (one year after resection surgery) my first time swimming I had the worst pain with a weird motion I did in the pool. I was bending my midseciton in a way that one does not on dry land, and I felt it big time. These things take time, but like I said if it gets ridiculous, alert doc. Take care!!
