Strictureplasty issues

Tue, April 01, 2014 12:06 PM

I had strictureplasty in October affecting about 12" of small bowel.  This is my first surgery ever after 20 years diagnosis.  My problem is that now this area does not push food through (peristolosis) properly which causes me constant pain and discomfort and I am only able to eat easily digestible foods. This eliminates most fruits and vegetables. I feel like I need to be on a liquid diet in order to feel good. Am I alone with this problem? Any solutions? Doc thinks I need to live with it or face more surgery.
