Structure surgery

Hi. I need some advice on whether or not to have surgery for a stricture that I've had for years. Right now I'm not experiencing symptoms from the stricture other than really having to watch my diet(no nuts or other hard to digest foods). I've had partial obstructions when I eat the foods that don't break down and if there is active inflammation. don't know if surgery will be resection or strictureplasty until I'm under. Anyone else have a similar situation that Might help me make a decision?  I'd love any advice I can get. Thanks!! Amy
