Post Surgery Pain

Thu, July 20, 2017 8:02 PM

Hi everyone,
I had part of my ileum removed about 3 weeks ago due to strictures.  I was hoping I would be feeling better but I don't  I have ruled out a UTI. I may have developed a gluten sensitivity now so I'm avoiding gluten.

But I am in pain as much as before surgery.  And it feels like Crohn's pain.  Perhaps I expected too much from the surgery.  I was hoping for remission.  But the Crohn's feels as active.  I haven't started back on the biologic yet. I'm going to be trying something new.

Has anyone had a similar journey that might be able to add some insight ? I am sick of being in pain!
Thanks!

I had a complete proctocollectomy and I had random shooting pains for a year after.  Healing takes time
