Weird stools

Thu, August 07, 2008 11:58 AM

I had a total colectomy June 10 due to uncontrollable crohn's.  Over the past week I have had really weird stools.  They are dark brownish green and oily.  Has anyone had this or should I call the Dr?  Worried I have some liver/gall bladder problems.(having some Upper right quadrant pain that comes and goes)

I would definatly call your doctor as any change in stool should be checked,  I have had Crohns now for 33years and have had to have my Gallbladder removed. I have green stools and my doc states it is from melabsorbtion do to the many resections I have had done.  I would call him or her to be on the safe side especially if you are having right upper abdominal pain. Best to check it out.  good luck and I will put you in my prayers.
