Pain After Surgery (Crohn's)

Wed, November 14, 2018 4:11 PM

I had surgery on May 2, 2018; resection of small and large intestines and removal of right ovary and appendix (encompassed in two large masses from fistula). I had a severe infection with an abdomen filled with infected fluid and pus.

Anyway, it's been just over 6 months now and I still have pains. When I stretch, I can feel my insides stretching--if that makes sense. Also, I've noticed especially recently that I get right side abdominal pains when I wake up after sleeping on my stomach most of the night.

Is this normal?

I had my colon removed due to colitis and had sharp pains in my lower abdomen for almost a year after.  Felt like someone was stabbing me with knitting needles.  For some reason it seemed to happen more often when I was in my car.
