time needed for reverse colomsy

Thu, March 19, 2009 12:00 AM

I have had crohn's for 20 years. last year started having problems with fistulas. Was told no choice but to have a colomsy to let my colon heal. On Feb 24 had the surgery. I hate it!  But in the last  month all the pain and discomfort from the fistulas is gone , Starting Hurmira next month.  Going to the Dr next week. Reverses surgery  is on my mind. has anyone has a reverse within 6 months or less.

It depends on how fast your body responds to the Humira and how well your fistulas heal.  I know that my doctor said that it would take at least 3 months to start to see a major improvement with the Humira.  Sorry...can't tell you any more than that!

Good luck!
