Natural Cure

Mon, May 04, 2009 12:00 AM

I have had Crohn’s since I was 12 (now 38).  I have had 3 major bowel resections with the last one being in 1996.  Back in 2006 I was faced with medication for the rest of my life or surgery. In 2006 I had a colonoscopy and they found a fistula in my large intestine. I was getting bloating and diarrhea as symptoms as well as weight loss and fatigue.  My intestines actually looked perfect with the exception of the fistula.  I was still taking the probiotics but there was something else I was missing.  I searched the internet and found a doctor who had a free 30+ page document on defeating the disease.  I read it a few times and had a conference call with this doctor.  I followed the program to the tee.  It was all about not eating certain types of foods, eliminating dairy products, taking some supplements which consisted of digestive enzymes and probiotics and most important was eliminating the foods I was allergic to.  Out of 88 foods I was tested for, I was allergic to 71 of them. Among them was pineapple and blueberries.  Pineapple has bromelain in it which is a powerful digestive enzyme. After 52 days of following the program strictly, I went from bloating diarrhea to a normal bowel movement.  The sensation of the fistula was gone and I was healthy again.  I stayed on the rotated diet introducing more foods along the way for about 10 months.  It is the end of 2008 and I am as healthy as can be. Drugs do nothing but present more problems.  The human body was not meant to eat junk food and milk products ll day long.  The human body was meant to eat a whole food plant based diet which is healthy for the human body.  Chiropractic care is essential to true wellness as well. Health is about wellness and not about relieving symptoms.  Please contact me if you want to discuss further.  My email is jayman00711@hotmail.com.

I do understand your concern.  I am cured though and have helped others do the same.  Not all doctors are created equal though.  Please send me an email so I can help understand what the doctor was trying to do to help your son before things went into a spiral.  jayman00711@hotmail.com

I am all for natural alternatives and holistic approach to maintain health. I am also an RN and I must add a word of caution to your statement......My son was diagnosed w/ UC. He tried everything including very strict adherence to the methods that you mentioned.and I mean absolute adherence to the supplements and rigid dietary regimen. His condition spiraled downhill, however the "doctor" who suggested these suppelments refused to admit that perhaps they were not working and filled my son's head w/ doubts and guilt that if he'd only try more supplements, give it more time, etc. he could "cure" him. Well, after 50lbs weight loss, 15-20 diarrhea  stools per day w/ gross frank blood increasing daily and the need for hospitalization and several blood transfusions.... and finally the need for an EMERGENCY COLECTOMY.........severe postop complications...abcesses.... --my advice is BE CAREFUL.... while there is a place for holisitc healing, there is also a time for common sense and the need to look at the patient. This "doctor" stiil claims that he could have "cured" my son......the medical doctors are positive that he would have died had we not intervened........be wise with all information. Do your homework,  become educated on your disease, trust those who are closest to you especially if you are too sick to make wise decisions.  The guilt that my son had to deal w/ postoperatively was unnecessary if only the aforemntioned "dr" would have admitted that not every case responds to this regime.                                    Because I have been there and I care
