I just had a horrible series of events, and I'd like an uninvolved person's opinion...I had surgery to relieve a partial obstruction caused by adhesions, recovered from that, then had a complete obstruction when a loop of bowel herniated through the omentum a few days later. Wow, did that hurt to vomit with an existing abdominal incision! So they went back in and pulled down some more adhesions - recovered from that. Then I developed an abscess near what is now my terminal ileum, and had a percutaneous drain placed, which is still there.
So what I'm wondering is...do you think all that should just be chalked up to bad luck or do you think that qualifies for malpractice / should I pursue that? I've had to go back to work a week after the last procedure, because I have my own business and have to pay the bills, but I'm nowhere near recovered. Just wondering what you think. Thanks for reading...

Have you gone on C3LIFE.COM?
Most of the people on there had accidents during their procedures and after.
I had almost due to my General Dr. misdiagnosing me 5 times before I had hole the blew through my colon on June 24 of this year. I ended up almost dying. I had been in and out of the hospital for a week each time.
My final diagnosis before my "Temporary Colostomy" that I have was pertiotinitis and diverticulitis.
I can't afford a lawyer though my family thinks I should sue. After reading the posts on that other site, I decided not after reading and talking to them about their malpactrice stuff...
Good Luck
Rachel

Unless the doctor was negligent and did something out of the ordinary then you need to assume it's just bad luck.
