surgery complications

hey everyone i had surgery about 2 months ago has a piece of my small intestine removed due to crohn's well a few days after surgery i got an ecoli infection which was what i am told led to an abscess where they reattached my intestine well 24 hours later stool started to come out of the abscess drain they put in they diagnosed me with a fistula basicly an opening in my intestine where they reatached it that has been almost 7 weeks i have been on a liquid diet since then and i keep being told to just have to wait it out i want to know if anyone else has had this issue and if so did they go back in and repair it or make you wait as well seems to me that in the 7 weeks so far i have had this drain in i could have been DONE healed from surgery and back to work and it aint looking like its going to heal anytime soon thx for reading and commenting

Hey There,

I know this is a lil late of a reply, and I truly hope that you have gotten better. Especially since the same thing happened to me, except my surgery was the begininning of March 08, and here it is Sept. 09, and well I still have not healed.
I have been batteling this open wound all this time. I too have a fistula, which showed up right after the surgery, and have a draining hole in my belly. I have been on Humira and pain control for about 6-7 months now. I really hope that maybe things worked out for you, and you would be willing to share your story with me some more.

It is excellent when it comes to all types of ostomy surgeries and complications. This sounds like some of the other stories I have read about.
