comectomy

comectomyI was diagnosed with Chrons disease 12 years ago at the age of 21. I was also diagnosed with Primary Seroseing colingites of the Liver (PSC) 12 years of just about taking every medication imaginable and to many hospitalizations to count  I  was recently told that I need to have my entire colon removed a colectomy or the chances of getting colon cancer are likely. I have grown to live with Crohns 7-28 stools a day, but I am having a really hard time excepting that i will have to have a bag. I dont have the option of having a temporary colectomy because of the PSC. I have started researching sites to see what I can learn about it, and recently just joined crohns foundation. I have a great Dr. and I trust the desions she has given me, but I feel I owe it to myself  to get  a second opionion, I will be going to the Clinic at the end of August.  I was wondering if anyone can give me information on having a colectomy, maybe this process will get easier, I dont think the emotions can get worse.
