If you are like me and have gone through surgery and are now dreading the projected emergence of a strong H1N1 threat this fall, some new information has been released from the CDC. Here is a link for some information: http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/
It appears that we may fall into the category of Persons who have health conditions
associated with higher risk of medical complications from influenza.
Thus making us potentially eligible for the vaccine. I am going to meet with my doctor to see if I can't get immunized at the first opportunity. I am afraid if those of us with immune systems that have been weakened by surgery were to get this flu, we may be in very big trouble. Especially when it can reek havoc on the intestinal tract. I've already been hospitalized twice for dehydration because I contracted a little big and got diarrhea from it. The output from my ostomy was so rapid I couldn't drink enough fluid to catch up. Only the IV could help me. I can't imagine what it might be like with H1N1. I pray for you all and your health and hope this information is helpful.

Only time will tell if this vaccine is even effective. The regular vaccine is only effective a fraction of time. Another thing to worry about is the Mercury they put in these vaccines called Thimerosol which are unsafe. Read the book called "Evidence of Harm" its very enlightening, yet scary.
