Low Grade Displaisia, Family History of cancer, Chrohns, Surgery or no surgery?

My husband has Chrohns that acts like UC at times. His last (4th) colonoscopy showed no active inflammation in his ileum (which has showed in the past) He has been on Remicaide for about 2 years. In his last colonoscopy they found low grade displaisia, narrowing, and he has had an active disease for 8 years. With his family history they want to take his colon out. They are worried about the J pouch because they think he has Chrohns, so there is a chance he will have to do a bag. He is 37, and disease is under somewhat control with the Remicaide but with these new findings, it is scaring us really bad. This disease has really affected him emotionally and this is a hugh blow to him. I need advice, what should we do. What are the chances of this turning into cancer, and any advice on what path we should take...
