My husband is a 37 year old with what his doctors think is Chrohn's Colitis. They are not 100% sure if its chrohns or colitis. He has been on many drugs, sterioid enimas, steroids for over a year, and now remicaide. Remicaid is great, but he still goes 20+ times a day and has bleeding and more at the end of his cycle. At his last colonoscopy they found narrowing and shortening of his colon, psuedo polyps, and low grade displaysia. (The lgd was found in random biopsies) Because the diseased part of his colon and where they found the lgd is in his decending through rectum, he doesn't have much choice but to have a ostomy. His father, grandfather and two great uncles all had colon cancer and died of it.
Problem #1 - We have a few friend that are pushing homeopathic treatments and diets. They want him to do many drastic diets like the vegan and makers diet and put off surgery to see if it helps. Although I feel that this would have been a great alternative in the past, I worry that he is too far gone, and it would be dangerous not to get his colon out asap. The doctor says that there is a 60% chance low grade displaysia can turn into cancer (even more with his family history), and that they aren't even sure he doesn't have cancer. The biopsies that found the lgd where random.
Has anyone had luck with this situation, what would you do? We will try anything within reason if we feel that there is a chance he would not have to have surgery, but we are talking about my husbands life here. I have not found much info on this forum regarding this, any info would be great.

Cancer can not grow in an alkaline environment. It is tremendously difficult to restore alkalinity to your body. It takes being really dedicated to following a strict diet. It can be done. Our bodies were created to be alkaline. The processed foods we eat, environmental factors, and stress have caused most humans to now be acidic. Funny thing people do not understand- milk is acidic and oranges are alkaline as for as the body goes.
I consult with an orthomolecular doctor for my Crohns and stuff that follows said monster. He does phone consults and ships the supplements to you.
