Healed without Medication or Surgery!!!

Healed without Medication or Surgery!!!

 My

20-year old (at the time) stepson was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in

2007.  After months of different medical treatments, and little if any

relief, in August 2008, he was admitted to the hospital with what the doctors

described as being among the top 5% of worst cases they had ever seen.

After 3 weeks in the hospital, and on the brink of death, the only two

options he was given by the doctors were Remicade or proctocolectomy (removal

of the colon and rectum)
.

After being told repeatedly by doctors that

diet has no effect whatsoever on UC (a part of the digestive system,

nonetheless), my husband refused to accept that claim and finally found a way

to get his son healed without medication or surgery. This regimen has healed

thousands of Colitis and Crohn’s patients all over the world for 20 years!

We spent the next 2 weeks weaning my

step-son off of the medications and drips (he had to hide his medications at

times because the doctors refused to work with him in this regimen).
 He followed

the proposed regimen of this system and at the end of those two weeks, he was

finally released from his 5-week stay in the hospital when his visits to the

bathroom went from 20 per day to 2 per day!!!!

One week later, and on zero medications,

the results of his next rectal scope showed that his colon had completely

healed other than one polyp which showed a brand new surface coming up behind

it.

 Unfortunately,

my stepson has since come away from the diet because he does not like fruit and

vegetables.
 He has

thus, unfortunately, had a number of hospital visits since, numerous temporary

relief medications and is presently awaiting the start of the Remicade regimen

in spite of the horrendous side effects.

I wanted to

share this for those of you who are willing to make a wholesome change in your

lives in order to receive unfathomable rewards.

Hi char,

Thanks so much for all of the info.  I really appreciate it.

That is a good idea to use heavier foods to bulk up, and get full.  Do you know of any other foods that help with this?  When I was on the diet before I thought I wasn't supposed to eat nuts at first.  Maybe eating those would help with hunger as well.  Also, do you think it is important for the nuts to be raw?

Thanks again,

Zinnia

oh...sorry, forgot to talk about the potatoes....they are not the ultimate goal on in a raw vegan diet, but can be used in transition (for those who find the change too drastic) after the flare-up is under control from juicing...my step-son used it with no ill effects.

Some other books you can read are:

"How to Determine Your Natural Dietetic Character"

"Nutrition and Athletic Performance"

"Fruit Can Heal You"

"I Live on Fruit"

"Fruit the Food and Medicine for Man"

"Perfect Body"

"The Fruits of Healing"

All the best!

Hi alanschachter,

Thanks for your reply.  I am not the best person to describe why this diet has worked for close to 100% of thousands of crohn's and colitis sufferers, who have stuck to it, over the past 20 years (and many more thousands of perfectly healthy people), but perhaps if you read the book "Self Healing Colitis and Crohn's", and the many other books that describe the benefits for all people of a raw vegan diet, it would answer most of your concerns. My husband is the one who did the majority of the reading and research, and it makes alot of sense when you actually read it and see that the human body is actually created to be fruitarian.

We have learned from this experience that, though well meaning in many cases, the research done on many diseases in the mainstream medical realm, is at best incomplete.

Please know that I have absolutely nothing to gain from being an advocate of this diet and lifestyle, other than the reassurance of knowing that I am offering a perfectly safe and side effect free, almost 100% successful alternative to what you will be offered by the mainstream medical system.

God Bless you in your journey.

Hi Zinnia,

Please remember that my steps-son was in really bad shape....top 5% of worst cases the docs in the hospital here had ever seen.  By the end of about 3 weeks, he was cramp free, his colon had pretty much completely healed up and he had reduced visits to the bathroom from 20+ to 2 a day.

Have you tried eating boiled/steamed potatoes (especially sweet potatoes) to help bulk up to feel more filled?  How about nuts and seeds, did you try eating some of that too?

Hi Char,

I tried the diet for a few days a while ago.  I would eat tons of fruit and would get full from the high water content but, half an hour later I would feel ravenously hungry.  I couldn't stick with it for very long because I was just too hungry.

If you don't mind my asking, how long was your stepson on the diet before he felt well?

Thanks for the info.,

Hi Zinnia,

Thanks for your reply!

Were you on any medication or other treatments when you tried the diet?  How long did you try it for?  Did you just eat more of the same when you got hungry?  There is no limit to how much you can eat, just what you eat.  My husband and I have since changed our diet and just eat more fruit when we are hungry.

As far as I remember, once my stepson was completely off all medications and fully on the diet, he had no symptoms at all.  This, however, did not last long as he did not want to continue on the diet after about 2 weeks of getting out of the hospital.  He does not like fruit and vegetables and preferred to go the route of medications.  He now has to have calcium infusions because at 23 he is suffering from osteoporosis from the meds and has had to move on to Remicade as he only had temporary relief from those meds.

Have you checked out the website related to the book? I believe that there is a discussion board or forum there.  There is also a Facebook page where people have many discussions about their experiences.

I really hope that you can work through this phase, because I truly believe that it is the best way to go.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Good luck!

Hi charbren,

I tried this diet for a little while once and was really hungry and had alot of cramping.  Wondering if your stepson dealt with any of this.

Thanks,
