Hello everyone, I have been dealing with UC for the last two years. I have tried all the medications available and nothing seemed to help. I was a healthy 37 years old when I started having problems. This Disease has put a HUGE strain on my family life. So I have surgery scheduled for Dec. 12 to have the colon and rectum removed and the J pouch creation. Trying to stay Positive and would like to talk to people who have been going or gone through this process. As you all know this is a very difficult thing to find people to talk to about.
Thanks Scott

I had an illiostomy with J pouch the end of Aug & it was reversed 3 weeks ago. I was very nervous about the bag, but got used to it. The colostomy nurses were very helpful with finding the best products for me. The first week after the reversal was bad, but it's much better now that the diareaha has died down with Lamotil. I'm back to work part time & starting to feel normal again!
