I know the overwhelming feeling all too well; my daughter was dx w/CD @ 4. I thought our world was turned upside down.  I sought a second opinion, which only confirmed the first.

I had zero experience/knowledge of Crohns so I began educating myself to learned everything I could.  We met with gi specialist, a nutritionist and social worker.  The nutritionist was able to guide me through the process of finding my daughter's triggers and using a food diary came in handy making it easier to pinpoint the foods that agreed/disagreed with her. She also taught me how to increase her calories which helped her gain and grow.

I don't want to overwhelm you with our story, but wanted to let you know Lizzie is now 14 and is doing well.

There are lots of us here to answer the many questions and lend an ear.
