Healed without Medication or Surgery!!!

  My

20-year old (at the time) stepson was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in

2007.  After months of different medical treatments, and little if any

relief, in August 2008, he was admitted to the hospital with what the doctors

described as being among the top 5% of worst cases they had ever seen.

After 3 weeks in the hospital, and on the brink of death, the only two

options he was given by the doctors were Remicade or proctocolectomy (removal

of the colon and rectum)
.

After being told repeatedly by doctors that

diet has no effect whatsoever on UC (a part of the digestive system,

nonetheless), my husband refused to accept that claim and finally found a way

to get his son healed without medication or surgery. This regimen has healed

thousands of Colitis and Crohn’s patients all over the world for 20 years!

We spent the next 2 weeks weaning my

step-son off of the medications and drips (he had to hide his medications at

times because the doctors refused to work with him in this regimen).
 He followed

the proposed regimen of this system and at the end of those two weeks, he was

finally released from his 5-week stay in the hospital when his visits to the

bathroom went from 20 per day to 2 per day!!!!

One week later, and on zero medications,

the results of his next rectal scope showed that his colon had completely

healed other than one polyp which showed a brand new surface coming up behind

it.

 Unfortunately,

my stepson has since come away from the diet because he does not like fruit and

vegetables.
 He has

thus, unfortunately, had a number of hospital visits since, numerous temporary

relief meds and is now awaiting the start of the Remicade regimen

in spite of the horrendous side effects.

I wanted to

share this for those of you who are willing to make a wholesome change in your

lives in order to receive unfathomable rewards.

The book name is "Self Healing Colitis & Crohn's"

Dear JAMom,

Thanks for sharing your experience.  I am so glad that your daughter is improving!

My question to gastrointestinal doctors is:

How can your diet NOT be related to your digestive system????

How?
How?
How?

That's wonderful news!

My daughter is 5 & was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis around her 2nd birthday.  She also has food allergies so we thought maybe there was a connection.  Doctors repeatedly told us there was no connection, but one nutritionist told us that there could be & suggested what to eliminate.  We didn't see any improvement, so we stopped.

Fast forward 4 yrs - my daughter was finally diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in March.  She has had GI issues for years but doctors told us there was nothing to worry about.  Last August, she started having bloody stools, so I pushed for a new gastroenterologist (the first one said not to worry about stuff) & we got a referral who agreed to explore further.  The colonoscopy confirmed the diagnosis.

I came to this forum and learned about the Specific Carbohydrate Diet.  A lot of the foods that SCD followers eliminate are the same ones we eliminated when my daughter was younger, but there were quite a few more that we hadn't eliminated, so I thought we'd give dietary changes another try.

We're approaching week four on the diet and for the past three weeks, my daughter has not complained of abdominal pain, she's no longer severely bloated and she's having near normal stools for the first time in her life.  I am so encouraged by the big improvements in a short time frame.

It's not an easy diet to follow.  You can't do grab & go if you don't have stuff prepared already, but it is so worth the effort if it works for your child.  I am hoping by doing this now, one day my daughter will live a normal life.

Doctors told me for years that my daughter didn't have GI issues, but that turned out to be incorrect, so I hesitate to believe there is no food link.  The proof is in the improvements we've seen in such a short time frame.

Food won't be the link for everyone, but at least rule out the food connection by strictly following one of these diets!

Hi there saddenmom14....so sorry to take so long to reply, but I have not been on here for the week.

The Forum Administrator here had to edit my posts because I had put the link, doctor and facility name in my original post (I was not aware of the rules that did not allow that).  She did say that I can disclose the name of the book and you can then do a Google search to find the colitis-crohn's website where you will get access to all of the information you should need to begin your research and also let you know how you can personally contact the doctor who has helped thousands of colitis and crohn's sufferers throughout the world over the past 20 years with no medication or surgery!  He claims virtually 100% success for those who follow his guidance.

Please let me be perfectly clear here.  I have absolutely NO AFFILIATION whatsoever with this method other than having experienced its success!  My passion is driven by a deep desire for more awareness of this safe, side-effect FREE, successful method so that others may have the opportunity that my step-son had and perhaps the support that he lacked (which subsequently lead to him giving it up and returning to very poor health and side effect ridden, ineffective treatments).

The name of the book is "Self Healing Colitis & Crohn's"

When you do a Google search, you will first see Amazon listings, but go beyond that and you will see the colitis-crohn's website....go there and read to your heart's relief!
