Remicade doesn't seem to be working

My 7 year old daughter was diagnosed with UC two years ago.  Initially, it was brought under control with a short course of prednisone, and maintained with azathioprine and flagyl.  For the last year though, she's pretty much been flaring.  She went back on steroids just before New Years and it took 3 months for those to work.  Soon after she was weaned off, she started flaring again.  We made the hard decision to start Remicade and she had her second dose two weeks ago.  Since then, she's gotten worse.  More blood, more BMs, more stomach pains.  We had more blood work done today and have a doctor's appointment for Friday.  Anyone know what might be next in the pipeline?  I feel like I'm flying blind here and we're so frustrated that a treatment we agonized over doesn't seem to be working.  Any information would be appreciated.

Hi,

My son was dx a year ago with ulcerative colitis at the age of 17 months. He's been on almost everything and nothing but prednisone has helped him. He's had 4 doses of Remicade. We're going to give the Remicade one more chance with an increased dose next time. If that fails then we headed to surgery. I hope your child gets better before you have to think about surgery.
