Hello fellow IBD folks!
I am 99% sure that I am moving forward with Humira to see if that can help manage my crohns. Fingers crossed it works! However, I just received an alarming phone call from the insurance/paperwork people and even with my insurance, this stuff is going to cost at least $300+ a month... OUCH!!!!
Have any of you found any workarounds for the co-pay? Is this the average/normal monthly co-pay/prescription cost for Humira? I am feeling extremely overwhelmed, so any advice is welcomed and appreciated.
Thank y'all SO much in advance!

I used to have humira co-pay assistance that made my co-pay $5. I have United Healthcare and they no longer accept the co-pay assistance, but they advised me to call Humira and they would reimburse me back $45 because my co-pay is $50. I submitted my first claim and received a $45 reimbursement check within a few days. The website is my.debitrx.com. You have to register and provide your receipt from where you paid your co-pay. I had questions regarding some of the required information when I first registered, but they were very helpful when I called. I hope this helps.

I personally get mine for free & just got the letter saying I need to renew my assistance so. . .
Yes there are definitely ways to get assistance- i believe its through humira. i get mine for $5 a month. they also offer a service where you get a personal health ambassador, kind of like your own private nurse. they can help you get some additional help as well, walk you through how to use the shots, and all kinds of other things. i got a huge booklet from my doctor when he approached me with the idea so i just called and asked what they could do for me- worth the try!
Looking to see if anyone else is dealing with li....
