Diagnosis

I'm 45 years old.  I'm not sure if I have crohns, UC or IBS and was wondering how a doctor can diagnosis which one you have.  For years I had stomach pains in the morning and felt like I needed to have a bowel movement but not much would come out.  Started taking fiber and was fine for several years.  Now I am have an issue about every 3 weeks where I get severe stomach pains.  I then have several bowel movements that are solid following by a bout of diarrhea or 2.  Total time from start of pain to diarrhea is about 1-1/2 hours.  The problem is I never know when this is going to hit me so I'm afraid to schedule going anywhere with friends etc.  Has anyone else ever had something similiar to this?  I have been to a gastroenterologist and they did full blood profiles testing for all kinds of things but everything came back normal.  Said I probably have IBS-C which I think I did originally but now think it is more than that now.
