prediabetes

Help!  I was just diagnosed with prediabetes, which means I have to eat like a diabetic anyway to order to try to reverse it and prevent myself from getting full-blown diabetes.  The diet restrictions are even crazier than with my Crohn's.  Does anyone else have this problem or can offer any advice on foods to eat?  It seems like suddenly everything is off limits!  I'm quite frustrated.  I don't want to eat fruit, veggies and scrambled eggs for the rest of my life.

Diabetes has to be taken very seriously.   My dad was a juvenile diabetic and unfortunately his life was cut short due to complications.  My best advice to you is work with a nutritionist.   You will be surprised how many ideas they have and the amount of the right combination of foods you can have.   Many people are able to turn the "pre-diabetic" train around.   It will take a bit of preparation and planning, but it can be achieved.   Take good care.
