Why is bifidis restricted in the SCD

Sat, October 01, 2016 11:14 AM

Hi

Everything that I have read states that bididobacterium is one of the bacterial strains that are beneficial for health of the gut. Why then, should it be eliminated in SCD yogurt? I have read something about bifidus overgrowth, but nothing explaining what actually happens. Trying to follow this diet, but some of the restrictions have no reasoning other than "Elaine says so...", which can get a bit annoying. Any help appreciated.

Thx
