Body Ecology Diet

Please please check this diet out.  I was diagnosed with IBS 5 years ago and cured myself with this book.  5 years later I am now just diagnosed with Crohns.  I stopped the diet after 3 months and was symptom free for 5 years!  Im going back to it now to see if it will help my Crohns.  Yummy cultured veggies, kefir etc...

I can tell you some things... but really it's best to check out the book as I'm not an expert.  Some principals on the diet are: no suger, no caffeine, no alcohol, no white flour.  Foods are probiotics such as kefir and cultured vegetables.  Both of these probiotic foods should be prepared at home so as to escape pasteurization.  They are really fun to make and apparently very nourishing.  BED's digestive enzymes, strong ones, helped me a lot.  Then there's the practice of food combining.  IE do not combine meat and starches in one meal.  Meat and vegetables is fine and also there should be a ratio of 70% vegetables to 30% meat on your plate.  Meat can only be combined with vegetables preferrably greens and non-starchy vegetables.  Starches such as potatoes, rice etc... can only be eaten with vegetables.  So to sum it up it's ok to have meat and veggies, or starch and veggies.  NO meat and starches.  There's much more to the diet but these are some of my favorite parts of the diet/book and they helped me SO MUCH 5 years ago.
