I have been vomiting for over 2 years and no one knows why. Does anyone else have this problem and if so do you know why?

My experience with GI doctors has been the same. They really don't know a lot about the disease which I find frightning.
Go to www.immunolabs.com there is a contact page. If you contact them and ask them for doctors in your area that use their lab they should be able to help you.
I cannot wait until Fall and cooler weather so I can start doing all the stocks and soups again. It is really healing.

Hi everything went just ok he said i have ibd and that is why i run to the bathroom in which i thought was due to my crohn's i asked about the blood test and he has never heard of it and he also has not heard of the gaps diet or any of the other diets i have learned about on here. At least for now the vomiting has stopped hopefully it does not return my mother seems to think it was due to some problems with my Uterus which i had removed last week so wee will see when i am done healing if it was that. I am going to go to the book store and look for all the books i have heard about on here and try to eat better also so I thank everyone who gave me all these suggestions I do not feel so alone any more and i have learned alot from all of you more in the last month then in the last 11 years

I am seeing my GI doctor i will see what he says he usually listens to me although because there was no sign of Crohns on my last coloscopy any symtoms I have can not be my Crohns according to him I say just because you did not see it does not mean it was not there they just did not see it and it has been almost a year since that test so couldn;t it be back. It is very frustrating when you know you are sick and you fell they do not believe you. well what do they want me to do save all my vomit and film me running for the bathroom i think i know what is going on with my body but i want them to figure out why and make it stop i do not want to here it is not your Crohns. Then what is it? Thank you and i will keep in touch. I have not vomited since june 18th but it stopped for a while in nov and dec and then came back so i will see and thank you for the information I will try to find that book

I understand how you feel. It is so terrifying and you feel so out of control. What kind of doctor are you seeing? My GI doctor knew nothing of the test and did not even want to hear about it. I seriously would contact the lab on the link I gave you to see about doctors in your area that preform that test. The other thing you can do is to read the book Gut and Psychology Syndrome by Dr. Natchsa McBride. It is a good book and has also helped me. The #1 thing is to figure out what your food triggers and delayed responses are. I would have never known I had a response to all yeast and egg if I had not done this test.
After this whole experience I am not sure I will ever trust another GI doctor except to do routine tests. I am almost at 4 years of getting so sick to the point where it was debilitating, having all the tests done and everyone telling me I was perfectly healthy which I was clearly not. It was all a mystery up until it got confirmed last week. I think God for the food test I did in Feb because it gave me back some control again. I know it is expensive but well worth it if you can swing it. Please keep in touch with me. You are not alone and I understand how scary it can be.
Hugs,
J

Thank you I see my doctor on the 19th I will talk to him about it I can not afford that much but maybe he can suggest something that my insurance can cover if not i will have to try to save up. Up until about 2-3 years ago i did fine eating what ever i wanted now i am not so sure sometimes i feel so alone with my disease no one else i know has it. I have both Crohn's and Colitis. My great grandmother i was told had Colitis and my grandmother thought she died from complications of Colitis Thank you everyone for all the great information

The test runs like $350 without the Candida and $425 with the Candida added. I did the whole thing because I knew I had Candida as well. It is a lot but some of the best money I ever spent. When I had it done I still did not know what the heck was going on with me but suspected Crohn's which I just found out I had. With any auto-immune disease it is so important to avoid reactive foods. This test is a gem.

YES. This test has saved me. Here is the link: http://www.immunolabs.com/patients/ You need to find a doctor in your area who is affiliated with the lab. I would contact the lab and ask for a doctor in your area that they work with. It is just to hard to figure out delayed food stuff yourself because it can effect you 72 hours later after eating that food!

When
I have a flare up it is absolutely wicked and accompanied with
vomiting. The next three days I feel trashed and all inflamed inside. I
was finally just diagnosed last week after 3.5 years of getting so
violently sick. I went through every test and finally last September
during an e/r visit a ct scan showed inflammation in my small intestine.
The following week I did a small bowel series and there was nothing so
my GI doc told me I was fine. Maddening. In December I gave up gluten
and started using the GAPS diet which helped reduce my gas and bloating
in-between episodes. I then went to an integrative doctor who drew blood
for delayed food response. My blood reacted against 40 foods. Since
giving them up I am a lot better. I highly recommend spending the money
on this food test. It is done by Immunolabs.

Last week I went to
an internal med doc who has been in practice 30 years and seen cases
like mine. She told me I have CD which I have
suspected since that CT scan. I feel validation to finally have a name
for my mystery illness that has put me into the e/r 3 times. I am not
happy I have it but will do everything in my power to avoid meds by
using food as medicine. I highly recommend a juicer. It has helped me tremendously
after a flare up. Fresh carrot juice is loaded with nutrients that is
easily absorbed.
Hope this helps.

yes, and Colitis would be evident on a full colonoscopy, Crohn's often so. Although Crohn's can also occur elsewhere in the digestive tract.
you should keep a journal of food, medications, symtpoms. see if you can draw any connections to the vomiting. And then take it to your doctor and say - help me change this.

I had a colonoscopy last august and they said everything looked fine no signs of Crohns i guess . Would either of those show up on that test.

i have had perods of vomitting. You may have a stricture or blockage that is slowing down or stoping digestion. I had this particularly before being diagnosed.

Vomiting was part of my childhood. In 1994 I was hospitalized and diagnosed with Crohn's. You should see a GI doctor and get a colonoscopy done
