Anyone tried a Food Combining diet?

Thu, August 04, 2011 12:14 PM

I have Crohn's, and I am looking for nutritional ways to decrease the pain of eating. Has anyone here ever tried a diet based on Food Combining principles? I am hesitant to try it because it conflicts with a lot of other advice I've read, especially the low-residue diet. But of course, there are plenty of positive testimonials on the diet book's website from people with IBD. There is so much conflicting information and advice out there, and I just want to see if this has worked for other people.

I follow some of the food combining basics.  It helps.  Never eat fruit with meals really helps with gas.bloating.

Dr. David Klein book/alternative progam uses food combining.

Following programs like SCD by nature of the foods you eat follow many food combining rules.

I've never even heard of it. Do you have any more info? Google isn't getting me anywhere... the closest thing I've found is food combination diet for IBS, but nothing about IBD.
