Post Workout Supplements

Mon, June 04, 2012 3:33 PM

I have had colitis now for 6 and before i was diagnosed i was working out 5 days a week and in really good shape. I was taking BSN Cellmass which is a creatine for post work outs. Now i'm really trying to hard to get back into the gym and get back into shape, but  aslo not get a flare up either. Does anybody have anything specific they use or know of anything that may work but not hurt or flare up my colitis. Looking forward to any responses. Thanks

I've been Bodybuilding and taking pre/post workout supps. for years now and the only ones that ever gave ME problems were ones that boost NO. Still taking Whey protein after my workouts and Casien before bed too. I'm curently on asacol and immuran, i was on Humeria (ran out and need new RX from my new dr to restart)  and havn't had a flare where i had to be in the hospital in over 2 years. but as you know listen to your body.

I have UC.  I've been doing P90X since January 2012.  Intek Products work well for me.

I recently have gotten back into the gym too around January.  I asked my doctor about some preworkout/postworkout supplements and he didnt seem to think any were too bad just to listen to your body and if something goes on let him know.  ive recently been taking assault or NO-xplode and that doesnt seem to mess with my crohns. postworkout all i do is protein right now though so not sure how creatine would effect it.
