Combining food diets - any feedbacks?

Sat, March 16, 2013 10:32 AM

Hi,
Checking on possible diets for Crohn, came across multiple variations to  food combining  eating ,well known since 1911 as the Dr.Hay diet.
Different variations exist but all quite similar - examples below

http://adjusthealth.info/general-health/eating-for-health/food-combining
http://crohnspainfreefoods.com/ (Michael Hohlweg)

Anybody on these diets? The concept make lot of sense - but didnt find any testimonial or reference in this forum

Yes, I have started combining food diet which was very helpful to me back in the late 80's under the Fit for Life Diet.  At that time I did not know my cramping, pain, was because I had Crohns, which was ony diagnosed in 2004 when I had a resection of my illiem. Have had  several blockages since last summer which has prompted me to try food combining again in Febuary. I think I have far less pain when strictly combined. Still feeling my way but feel it is worth a really serious trial. I got back into it throuh Crohns Pain Free Foods, the 3rd one of your links. My doctor does not agree with me but I gave her a copy of the material I have obtained so that she would know what I am attempting. Am currently being slowly weaned off of Prednisone which was started during partial obstruction (it cleared) and hospitalization in early Febuary.
