HI my name is Lauren. I found out that I had U.C when I was 18. by the time I as 20 nothing was happening with the medication. I just was newly married and in April 2010 I had my son. By August I had to have my entire large intestine taken out. I have the bag for three months then had a reversal. However, my body was not taking well to the surgery and I went fro 160 pounds to 90 pounds within 3 months. My husband cheated and left me for another woman. I felt like my life was over. I still battle flare ups and weeks in the hospital. This is not easy but I am making it through. Just know it will get worse before it gets better. However, you are the only one that can put the work in!! BE POSITIVE BECAUSE IT DOES HELP!
