Weight loss without other symptoms

My 13 year old son was diagnosed with Crohn's 2 years ago and since getting the initial flare up under control at the time of diagnosis has been doing well.  He has grown significantly in the past two years, but in the last 6 mos-1 year is losing weight.  He currently takes 3000 mg Pentasa a day and has no Crohn's symptoms.  Our Dr wants to see him in 1 mo and if he hasn't stopped losing weight, he wants to either re-scope to see how the inflammation looks and then potentially change his medication or just change the medication and see if that helps with the weight loss without re-scoping.  The medication he would switch to is an immunomodulator. Anyone have experience with this situation of weight loss, but otherwise well?

I'm 23 and went from 170 pounds to 145 pounds in the last year. Due to my symptoms I've been eating only two meals a day to try and lessen the trips to the bathroom. I don't know if this might be something happening with your son as well. Weight loss may just be attributed to constant bowel movements.
